This is one year old pretty Pekingese Dolly who has been in for her health check and routine vaccinations. She looked so cuddly we just had to take a photo!

The little blue shorthair who dislocated his ankle (hock) last week has been in with his two brothers and three sisters for vaccinations. He came in his own carrier with his leg bandaged, and here are his beautiful siblings!

Hamish attended a CPD event in Derby after evening surgery last night to find out more about an exciting, new, highly effective antibiotic specifically designed for the veterinary market. It was a really interesting evening – and one of the vets there used to be at primary school with Hamish in London!

17 potentially life-saving dogs came along to 387 Vets today (12th May) to donate blood at our first ever Pet Blood Bank collection session. From Greyhounds, Labradors, German Shepherds and Collies to a Leonberger, a Mastiff and a Siberian Husky, a huge thank you to everyone who attended! Special congratulations go to Phil and Paris Fowler, Joe Deeming, Barlow Toms, Maggi Mae Backhouse, Sally Smith and Millie Mole who all donated a full unit of blood each. These 7 units will help to save up to 28 dogs’ lives. This 8 week old adorable blue shorthair is now back at home recuperating after taking a tumble and dislocating his ankle (hock). After x-rays and advice from a specialist orthopaedic surgeon, little kitten now has one very large bandage to stabilise his injury while it heals.

Hamish was back just in time for his 9am consultation after being called out to help a very brave dog Willow this morning. One of the vertical bars on Willow’s kennel had snapped and she managed to impale the webbing between her toes on the broken end of the bar. Willow didn’t fuss at all as Hamish freed her, and she was very lucky to have just a small puncture wound to show for her ordeal. Well done Willow for being so calm and brave!
